Brief Services
Services are provided to people who need help meeting basic needs: food, clothing, shelter, medical assistance, and utilities. As part of the agency’s program, a brief assessment is completed. Referrals are made to other agencies when appropriate.

HISPANIC Medical interpretation Program
This program, designed to provide translation services to the Spanish-speaking population in the Fort Wayne and surrounding areas, is gaining many new clients, because even though some people speak enough English to get along on a daily basis, they don’t want to risk miscommunication with regard to their medical treatment. A caseworker accompanies the client to the doctor’s office and translates the entire conversation between the care provider and the client. Clients usually learn about the program through word of mouth, and some clinics provide pamphlets containing information about the program.
