Our food pantries need donations. As our communities continue to face rising unemployment, food is flying off the shelves at both South Bend Food Pantry and RSVP Community Center of Caring Food Pantry in Auburn.
Groceries such as canned and boxed non-perishables are in great demand; we can take frozen items, such as meat and vegetables, too. Fresh foods are good as well. Of special need are paper items—toilet paper, paper towels, feminine-hygiene products—as well as soap, shampoo, and household cleaners. We also accept cash, check, and credit-card donations.
If you have a large donation, call ahead so that we can better accommodate helping you unload your vehicle. Also if our posted drop-off times don’t work for you, call us. We can set up a time to meet you outside of our normal office hours.
We thank you for your support.
