CCUSA CEO, Kerry Robinson, Visits Local Office
On Monday, February 16, Catholic Charities Fort Wayne–South Bend had the honor of welcoming Kerry Robinson, CEO of Catholic Charities USA. Her visit brought inspiration, encouragement, and a renewed sense of mission to our organization and the community we serve.
During her visit, Kerry delivered a heartfelt lecture celebrating our moral heroes—those ordinary and extraordinary people of faith whose actions make a profound difference in the lives of the most vulnerable. She reminded us that the call to serve flows directly from our Catholic identity: we help not because those in need are Catholic, but because we are. Guided by Kevin C. Rhoades, our Board Chairman, Catholic Charities remains committed to offering a hand up—providing hope, encouragement, and support throughout each person’s journey.
At the heart of our mission is long-term accompaniment. We strive to walk alongside individuals and families as they build stability, pursue opportunity, and realize their God-given potential. Through this work, we seek to reflect the light of Christ in our community.
In addition to her public lecture, Kerry spent time meeting with our staff, sharing insights about the future of the Catholic Charities network and offering an uplifting message of hope. Just as meaningful, she took time to listen—showing genuine interest in the work happening here in Fort Wayne and South Bend and in the people who carry out this mission each day.
She also shared about the deep prayers that Catholic Charities USA offers for its member agencies across the country. While our agency operates independently, the national network provides valuable resources, guidance, and opportunities to share best practices with fellow Catholic Charities organizations. This partnership strengthens our ability to serve those most in need while staying rooted in our shared mission.
Kerry’s visit was a powerful reminder that our work is part of something larger—a nationwide commitment to serving our neighbors with compassion, dignity, and faith.
