Assistance and Resources

Services are provided to individuals and families who need help meeting basic needs: food, clothing, shelter, and utilities.  Applicants qualified for the program will complete a brief assessment with a case manager in-person. Referrals are made to other agencies when appropriate.  Services are offered by appointment only. 

We are moving from a transactional program (short-term, one-time interactions) to a relational stabilization model (long-term, deeper engagement).

• Each region requires case management for those requesting assistance. Case management includes meeting with a case manager and working through a budget and self-sufficiency plan.

• All individuals will be provided with an opportunity to receive a review of their budget and learn ways to improve their financial situation. This may include learning about other resources for their specific situation.

• Referrals for other Catholic Charities’ ongoing case management programs may be provided based on eligibility and interest.

• Services are offered by appointment only.

• Each region has specific funding sources that determine the type and amount of financial assistance we are able to provide.

• Due to our current backlog, it may take up to one week for our case managers to reach out to applicants.
