The Catholic Mental Health Novena

On Friday, October 10, we invite you to join us for the USCCB's Mental Health Novena!

Beginning on World Day for Mental Health, our Director of Diocesan Mental Health Ministries, Dr. Melanie Williams, will lead us in the novena each day. The prayer will conclude on the feast day of St. Luke the Evangelist. Each day of the Novena reflects on a theme related to mental health, or a particular population significantly affected by mental health challenges, using a “Pray, Learn, Act” structure.

This novena is part of the USCCB’s National Catholic Mental Health Campaign and Mental Health Sunday. From depression and loneliness to behavioral and developmental disabilities, mental health is part of so many families and friendships. Mental Health Sunday takes place on October 11-12, the Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time, the Sunday after World Day for Mental Health (Oct. 10).

If you or a loved one are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call the National Suicide Hotline at 988 for crisis support.
