Mental Health Ministry Testimony
Last year, our Diocesan Mental Health Ministry team helped six parishes across the diocese educate, advocate, and accompany fellow parishioners as they moved towards healing.

For many years, I lived with Bipolar I disorder and struggled to find lasting hope. Although I sought treatment, I often felt alone in my journey. Two years ago, my return to my Catholic faith became a turning point, opening the door to a new kind of healing that reached beyond my diagnosis.
When I learned about the Mental Health & Wellness Ministry at St. Charles, I discovered something I hadn't realized I was missing—a community where I could openly share my experiences through the lens of faith. I met people who understood the challenges of living with mental illness, as well as family members who were seeking to better support loved ones. Together, we encouraged one another, prayed together, and reminded each other that our struggles do not define us.
Looking back, I see God's hand in bringing me to this ministry. It has helped me continue healing from the wounds of my past while growing deeper in my relationship with Christ. More importantly, it has given me the opportunity to offer hope to others who are walking a similar path. Sometimes the greatest gift we can receive is knowing we don't have to walk alone.
