October: Hope Begins with Action
The goal of this newsletter is to highlight the Church’s mission of love—and help your family bring that mission to life at home and in the community.
THIS MONTH'S FOCUS:
👉 CST Theme: Life and Dignity of the Human Person
🌟 Corporal Work of Mercy: Visit the sick; comfort the afflicted
✝️ Scripture: “I came that they might have life, and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10
🕊 Saint: St. Thérèse of Lisieux (Oct 1) – Patron of “little ways” of love and healing
Mental health. Life. Diversity. It’s all sacred.
October reminds us that every life is worthy of protection and compassion:
🚶🏽♂️World Day of Migrants and Refugees (Oct 5): Join us in praying for newcomers who are rebuilding lives far from home. Bridget Donotue from partner organization, Project Dignity, shares her perspective on "welcoming the stranger" into her home.
👶 Respect Life Month: Our ECHO Program walks with young parents facing unexpected pregnancies and helps them obtain their HSE.
🧠 World Mental Health Day (Oct 10): You help us offer accessible counseling rooted in dignity and healing. Meet our great counseling team, or join us for the Mental Health Novena we will start on October 10 (join on our Facebook).
📉 International Day to End Poverty (Oct 17): You help us break cycles of injustice through casework, food, and housing support.
📊 Our Annual Report is coming—celebrating what your generosity made possible!
