A Message From the Board President
Dear Supporters,
Alleluia, Jesus is alive! As we continue our joyous Easter celebration for 50 days, we are reminded that hope grows in a home when compassionate acts reflect the light of Christ.
At Catholic Charities, our professional team’s sole purpose is to carry out the charitable works of the Church, acting as an agent of hope. Sharing His love through actionable deeds focused on a person’s inherent dignity, every interaction draws a client (and us) towards Him.
Our diocese has been invited to reflect on this very focus during the Synod 2026.
How is our local church called to serve the poor, suffering, and vulnerable?
In what ways do the most vulnerable need help?
Where do our school families mostly struggle?
What is the best way to minister to our rural areas of the diocese?
As Catholics, how can we inspire compassion?
Our Board of Directors is prayerfully considering how, after 104 years of service, Catholic Charities can continue to meet the current and emerging humanitarian needs of our Diocese. As we begin the process of updating our Building Roads to Hope Strategic Plan, we remain grateful to our supporters who reflect Christ’s love through their time, talent, and treasure.
Our mission to serve the most vulnerable in our community is made possible by your generosity. As Mother’s Day approaches, on behalf of the Board, I invite you to prayerfully consider supporting Catholic Charities by using our parish envelope on May 10th. Your generosity is a direct way to participate in the charitable works of the Church. Through our partnership with the Diocese, we can now personally thank you for your parish gift and share the meaningful impact of your support with the stories you are about to read.
On behalf of everyone at Catholic Charities, we wish you a joyful Easter season and a blessed Pentecost. May the Holy Spirit inspire us with wisdom and compassion as we continue to serve others.
May God bless you,
Brad Durcholz
President of the Board of Directors, Catholic Charities
